Last Night

After work I headed downtown to meet Janet at the Indian Grocery store. After buying some supplies we headed home to cook dinner. By about 9 we were done dinner and decided to watch A History of Violence (One thumb up, one thumb down).

Last Night...

Went home, ate a quick dinner. Then we picked up Mar's sister and went to visit her uncle who had a heart attack. He was in the hospital, looked well, and was going for an angeoplasty tomrw. Then we stopped off at the bank to pay some bills, dropped her sister back off and headed home. I worked out a bit, watch the movie Outland, and a little of the colbert report and headed off to bed.

After work I headed home with the hopes of grabbing a quick nap but instead got wrapped up in a few Sudoku puzzles while waiting for the call to meet up at Moxies. I later headed to the mall to meet up with Gino but unfortunately arived early and made the life-changing decision to lounge on a bench while waiting. I was soon joined by some crazy retiree who proceeded to pack his life story into the 10 minutes I spent waiting for Gino. I eventually made it to Moxies where we had some coffee for about an hour and a half. After Moxie's it was off to Cramdons to grab a bite to eat and play a few games of SilverStrike to kill a couple more hours. Once we wrapped things up at Cramdon's we had to make a stop off at Gino's house so he could get a vehicle (his ride for the evening bailed so he had no way home later if we didn't...) Once that was done we headed for our final destination: The Brick House. Once there we played some more SilverStrike, had some more drinks and listened to some nice live music. I wound up sticking around much longer than I planned, but it was a good time regardless. I eventually made it home a quickly drifted off to sleep.

Upon arriving home I put a load of laundry in, then proceeded to make some delicious chili usiing left-over roast beef. After eating the chili and putting away the laundry I went over to Janet's. We watched Lost, which was much better than most episodes this season, and then Ice Age.

Went home, read, ate. Mar had had a flat tire the night before, and it was still leaking so we took her car and dropped it off at canadian tire to get fixed. We went back home, watched a bit of tv, worked out a bit. A couple hours later we went back and picked up the car, came home, watched a bit of tv and then headed off to bed.

After work I went to donate blood. From there it was home for a nap that ended far too quickly. Fortunately I was interrrupted by an invitation to dinner so I wasn't too disappointed. I accepted the invitation and as a result I met up with some people at the Market Buffet at the casino for dinner. After dinner we strolled the casino for a while somehow avoiding the temptation to gamble. Once we finished up at the casino I headed to Brews & Cues to meet up with everyone at Pool League for a couple of drinks before eventually heading home.

Went home, read, ate supper. Just had another relaxing evening. I'm going to have to start doing something, i mean it's fine to relax all the time, but to write about it everyday.

After work I headed home to pick up some clothes. I stayed for dinner and took care of a few maintenance issues on my computer. I later had to go pick up my younger sister who had been stuck shopping for the last couple hours (she has no license and got dropped off...) From there it was back to her place to hang out for a couple hours and watch some television. To wrap up the evening I headed to Cramdon's to hang out for a bit.

My Night

After work I headed to the Kildare House for a quick meeting. We ordered Cokes. 45 minutes into the quick meeting we ordered beer. 1 1/2 hours into the quick meeting we ordered dinner. 4 hours into the quick meeting we got another round of drinks. At 11:00 I headed home. Watched the Daily Show and the first (ie good) part of the Colbert Report before going to bed.

Went home, ate. Had another relaxing evening, with just some tv and computer time. Helped Mar find an instrumental version of a song for some karaoke and listened to some music.

After work I headed to the mall. My stay there included a visit with my cousin and dinner at Burger King. Afterwards I returned home to watch some television (mainly Prison Break and 24). After watching television I headed to Cramdon's for a couple drinks and some pool with Gino and Jay. From there it was home to bed.

The weekend...

Friday: The evening was a bit of a write off, as both Mar and I were tired. Just ended up watching a bit of tv and heading off to bed by 11.

Saturday: Got up and went to homodepot to take back an unused can of spray paint, and get a pair of pump pliers. Then we went to the mall to pick up a couple ps2 controllers. When we got home i used the pump pliers to replace the tap on the upstairs bathroom sink. Tried out the controllers, one was really crappy. Cleaned a bit, Mar's sister, brother-in-law and their baby came over.

Sunday: Took back the crappy controller and got another one, will probably take it back too, as it is wireless without the dual shock, i hate shopping. Went to the parents' place to check on things. Arranged some funiture for mar, ran a cable line up to her office. Rounded off the night by watching Get Rich of Die Trying.

The Weekend

Friday night I headed to Brian's house shortly after work. From there we headed to Cramdon's to meet up with everyone. Later in the evening we found ourselved downtown heading to Kokopelli's. We stayed there until they pretty much kicked us out at which point the evening lived on at the Casino.

The majority of Saturday was spent recovering from Friday night. I also dropped my sister off at the club Soda formal and watched some television at Brians. For the first time in I can't remember how long we all stayed in on a Saturday night. I only mention this as a warning to us all... the end of the world may be upon us.

Sunday was spent touring the city visiting birthday parties. First up was my Buba's 80th birthday party followed up by Owen's 1st birthday. Later Sunday I returned to Harrow to pick up some things for my planned week in the city. And as usual, went to Spicoli's to celebrate another successful weekend.

After arriving home Janet called and I headed over there for dinner. On the way I stopped at Zehrs to pick up some sausages to BBQ, and ended up buying a whole bunch of things. (Deal of the night: 2 lamb kidneys for 72 cents.) After getting out of Zehrs we BBQ'd dinner at Janet's. Then watched the last couple episodes of Firefly and a portion of this week's lost episode, until the audio stopped being in sync with th video. At that point it was decided Janet needed to redownload the episode.

After work, as predicted, I headed to Moxies for some coffee. Afterwards we did a couple laps around the mall to burn some caffeine. From there it was off to Cramdon's to shoot some pool and play a bit of bowling arcade. I later returned home to watch some great basketball games wrap up.

Went home. Read, ate. Went to office depot or something like that, then to a couple other places and back home. Did much the same thing as the rest of the week, watched tv, cleaned more stuff off my computer, worked out a bit and went to bed.

After work I headed to the pharmacy to pick up some cold medication for my sister. From there I headed to her place to drop it off and kill some time before pool league started. Eventually I headed to Brews & Cues for league. I played a little pool before eventually heading home where I watched LOST and went to bed.

A Night in the Life

Hurried home to grab some food and print out a few forms before heading down to Windsor Yacht Club for our Conservative AGM. All went well and we got our slate elected. After the meeting we hung around for a drink, then moved on to Murphy's for food. Around 11:30 we called it a night.

After work I returned home to Harrow. I surfed the internet for a while until I felt hungry enough to make dinner again. After dinner I did a few more things on the computer. Eventually I got around to watching some television before eventually heading off to bed.

Went home. Read, ate. We went out to zehrs dougal to drop off some bags of stuff at the salvation army drop off, returned some light peanut butter, went to the dollar store there (nice selection), then over to winners and back home. I cleaned a bit, did some maintenance on my computer. Watched scrubs for the first time in quite some time, good show. Watched a bit more tv and went to bed.

Went home. Made myself some dinner, played on the ps2. Mar came home, we watched some tv. I played a few more games, we watched a bit more tv, then went to bed.

After work I headed home for the evening. I did some work on my computer to get a couple things working the way I wanted before eventually giving in to my hunger and making some dinner. Later in the evening I watched Prison Break, 24, and CSI Miami. I turned on the Daily Show as I drifted off to sleep.

The Weekend...

Friday: Mar and her mom were done all the painting. We stopped in at a friends house for a quick visit. Then back at home, we put the furniture back in Mar's office. Watched a bit of tv and went to bed.

Saturday: Slept in. My cousin was in town, so he stopped by. After a couple hours of tinkering i finally fixed a ps2 i'd gotten for free from some of my friends. We ordered some pizza. In the evening we went to see V for Vendetta. I was quite entertaining. From there we went to Hose(eh)s for appettizers.

Sunday: Woke up way too early, went groccery shopping. Then headed out to my cousin's place for his kid's first bday party. Then over to my parents place to check up on things and pick up a miter saw. Then to Mar's aunts place for her bday. Then home to clean, relax and watch some tv. Also squeezed in a little virtua fighter 4 before we went off to bed.

Friday: Went home and had dinner, then went curling.

Saturday: Went to CAA to pick up some tickets, then over to Janet's for lunch. After that I went to Zehrs, met a friend in the parking lot and ended up going to the Zehrs cafe thing for a coffee. Went home and made dinner, ate, and then headed to the movies.

Sunday: Got up, made breakfast. Read a bunch. Went over to Janet's for dinner, watched several Firefly episodes. Went home to bed.

The Weekend

St. Patricks Day was pretty uneventful for the most part. After work I headed to Brians, a few more people joined us there for a drink or two before we headed to Feel Goods for the remainder of the evening. Things closed off with a trip to the Golden Griddle for some food.

Saturday I spent a good chunk of the day lounging around the house not doing a whole lot. Eventually I headed into the city to catch 'V For Vendetta' with everyone. I thought the movie was enjoyable. After the movie we all headed to Jose's for some drinks and appetizers. Eventually I headed to Cramdon's to meet up with Gino to watch the F1 race. Following the race I returned home to get some sleep.

Sunday didn't have much going for it either. I watched some television at my sisters place before doing the usual trip to Spicoli's.

After work I headed to Brians. I did a bit to tidying up around the house, 'backed up' some DVDs, and packed up most of my stuff. Later we met up with Gino for dinner, then went to Cramdon's. The night wrapped up pretty early and closed off with watching a bit of March Madness and heading to bed (seperately).

Went home, made some dinner, Janet came over, we watched TV while eating said dinner. After that I read for a while. Then we went to Tim Horton's to meet a guy who was at the seminar and wants to run a couple of similar events himself. Eventually we went back to my place and read some more before going to sleep.

Went home. Mar's family was there and more were on their way. Mar's dad and I went out to pick up more paint and some food. Came home, ate. Painted, cleaned up. Her family left. I continued adding programs to mar's computer, should be done soon. Watched a bit of tv while i was doing that, and went to bed.

After work it was back to Brians for dinner. I downloaded a couple shows he forgot to tape for his wife before we left for Brews & Cues. After pool we swung by performance ford to pick up the car. We later headed to a couple bars down by the university for a few drinks before calling it a night and heading home.

Went home. Mar's mom and sister were over. Changed my clothes, and started painting. Mar's mom bought us some Harvey's for supper. After that went back to painting again, to get the first coat on, cleaned up all the rollers and brushes. Started working on Mar's computer, reformatted it, and re-installed windows, then commenced the updates. While i was doing that, we watched a bit of tv, then went to bed.

Went to the mall and browsed around Chapters (which, I fear, is on the verge of becoming Indigo). In my first 15 minutes there I saw 4 people I knew, including Otto. I bought a book of curry recipies, then headed over to Moxie's for dinner. Food was good, found out that Jen H. is pregnant. After dinner Janet and I went to my place to watch House, but since it wasn't on we watched Scrubs instead. I then read until falling alseep.

Went home. Mar had a bunch of her family over to help patch spots in the walls, so they were all still there when i got there. We all ate, cleaned up, talked, watched a bit of tv. Everyone left, and we sanded down the walls again. Watched an episode of the daily show and went to bed.

After work it was back to Brian's. We hung around there for a while, watched some tv. We eventually dropped the car off at the dealership for maintenance today after which we returned home to watch some tv. Eventually we went to Cramdon's for dinner and some pool. Later we contemplated continuing the night but decided against it and returned home to bed.

Did a little grocery shopping, then headed home and made dinner. After that I posted some pictures from the seminar on FreedomProject.ca, then I added some comments from people who attended. Janet came over and installed some virus software on my computer while I started reading On the Road. Eventually I fell asleep on the couch and decided it was time to go to bed.

Went back to Brian's after work, had dinner, watched some tv, went to Cramdons, went home, went to bed.

Went home. Read a bit, ate supper. Tried to take a nap but it didn't work out to well. Went over to one of my buddies' place to visit, see their baby, and borrow a controller and a game to see if a ps2 that i got for free works. Headed to homodepot to get some paint shaken, looked at new baseboards while we were at it. Got home again, helped mar move stuff out of her office, helped her with some computer stuff. Then I took off the baseboard while she taped around the room to prepare for painting. Tried out the ps2, didn't work, wouldn't read the disc. Went to bed.

Windsor Liberty Seminar Write-Up

Weekend Summary

Friday: Went home to make a few final seminar preparations, then headed out to Kingsville for the pre-seminar party. The event seemed to teter on the edge of disaster for a little while as almost everyone attending was running late getting into town. In the end it seemed to work out, great food and conversation. Headed back to Windsor around 11:30 and was asleep by one.

Saturday: The big event. Ended up with 40 people there, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Made some good contacts. Definitely worth doing again next year. Afterwards we regrouped at Basil Court for some excellent Thai food. That was followed by one departure from our group (Steve Horwitz had to catch a 6am train). We tried going to Papa Cheney's, but the line forced us to reconsider. In the end we spent a couple hours talking and having drinks in Pogos. Around midnight the Toronto crowd departed and we retreated to the Holiday Inn with Peter and Ollivia to have a glass of wine in their room. Around 1:30 the day wrapped up.

Sunday: Slept in, read, watched TV, had dinner with parents, spent some time on the Internet, went to bed.

The Weekend

Friday night kicked off with a quick trip home to gather some belongings because I'm staying at Brian's this week. After that I headed to Brians where we began construction of the kegirator. Once the keg was tapped the party started. We eventually found our way downtown which had us jumping from bar to bar until eventually grabbing some taco bell and heading home.

Saturday morning came a bit earlier than I would have liked, but I managed to muster enough energy to make it to the conference at the University. The conference was well organized and I enjoyable... I can only imagine how it would have been if I wasn't hungover. A big thanks to Matt for putting it all together; great job. After the conference I caught up with a friend of mine who's in town from Texas. We grabbed dinner at the Keg and then met up with some girls we went to school with for drinks at the Honest Lawyer. From there it was back to Brians to kick off another exciting night with the kegirator. We watched Lord of War, had some drinks and headed downtown.

Sunday morning went bye unexpectedly fast (likely a result of sleeping through it). I woke up to watch the opening race of the 2006 Formula 1 season. After the race we ran some errands for the remainder of the afternoon. After dinner I watched some television until eventually heading to Spicoli's for my weekly dosage of acoustic rock n' roll.

That pretty much wraps things up.

Friday: Went home, ate, packed up. Drove up to TO, the weather was fine for driving. Got there, and one of my friends was already asleep, he'd started a new managerial position and he was trying to keep his schedule straight. We stayed up and chatted with the others until they too headed off to bed.

Saturday: Woke up at about 7:30, my buddy's girlfriend had a paper due and had to work on it. Ended up getting up after a few hours sleep. The weather was sunny and warm, was just walking around in a sweater, and pants. We went shopping, then over to ikea, then back to the apt. We watched a few movies, just friends, jarhead, meet joe black. And watched one of my friends play the new game 'Black', quite entertaining.

Sunday: They let us sleep in until about noon. Weather was beautiful again. Helped my buddy fix his computer. They ended up getting a few people over, to fix their satellite and what not, then another couple friends showed up. Heard about their europe trip. Had supper and headed home. Got home at about 11:30. Showered, was really smelly, then went to bed.

After work I stopped at Canadian Tire and picked up a few things. Then I went home, made some dinner and put in some laundry. After that it out to Staples for name tags and photo copies, then back to Canadian Tire to get a bottle of water for my cooler. Arriving home in time to move my laundry to the dryer, I then made name tags for the seminar while Janet coallated the handouts.

Went home, ate, read. Helped Mar with making some cds. Filled with gas for my trip to TO today, paid some bills. Watched a bit of tv and went to bed.

After work I headed to drop off some new gift certificates that Troy needed. From there I headed home. Once home I figured out some port forwarding issues with the new network structure which now seems to be working properly. After that I thought about setting up a web server but decided to leave that for another day. To finish up the night I watched some television until I fell asleep.

Made a trip over to the U to pick up some thank you gifts for seminar speakers at the bookstore. While I was there I decided to try out the new wireless network, it works as long as you have a student password.

After that I went over to Janet's for dinner, then worked on various seminar-related preparation. I ended up having quite a lot to do, so I didn't make it basketball. By the time I was finished it was time for bed.

After work I went to the mall for a while to visit with my cousin. Turns out it was convinient that I stopped by because he had no ride home. Once he finished up work I drove him home, after which I headed to Brews and Cues for pool league. Once league wrapped up I headed home to do a couple things on the computer before heading to bed.

After work I headed to get my haircut. After the haircut I headed to my sisters place for dinner. Following dinner we watched 24. Eventually I met up with some people at Cramdon's for drinks before heading home.

My weekend

Friday night started out with a trip to the mall. After visiting with a few people I headed to my sisters place to drop off a couple of things she had me pick up while I was at the mall. I then continued on to Brian's house where we had a few drinks before eventually heading downtown.

Saturday I had some help available to change my breaks so I got that done. In doing so we noticed it was time for some new tires. Later that afternoon I headed to Canadian Tire to get new tires. While waiting for the tires to get changed we hung out at the Rack n' Roll. I reutrned home to Harrow for a small gathering for my sisters birthday. Later in the evening I headed to Vince's house to watch the UFC event. We followed that up with a round of Golden Tee at Cramdon's.

Sunday I spent the afternoon working on the networking stuff I've ben anxiously awaiting working on. Eventually got most things working, a couple portions to still get going, but for the most part everything is all set. Later Sunday I headed back to the city, stopped by my sisters place to fix her roommates computer, then headed to Spicoli's for the remainder of the evening.

Weekend Update

Friday: Went home and had dinner, then watched TV for a bit before going curling.

Saturday: Slept in, had a late breakfast, then decided to head out to Colasanti's mid-afternoon. After a couple hours there we met up with some friends to have dinner in Kingsville. After dinner we came back to Windsor and went five-pin bowling I had two pretty good games (I think) and one bad one. Ended the night at Murphy's.

Sunday: Slept in, Janet made apple pancakes for breakfast. I sat around and watched TV for a while and then met Janet's family at Roseland for her dad's birthday dinner. Afterwards we went to my place and watched LA Confidential.

The Weekend...

Friday: We headed out for our anniversary activities. Although they were a little different then usual. Mar got a nose ring, then we headed to the casino to enjoy the buffet. The buffet was quite tasty. From there we spent a bit of money on slots, lost it all. Also tried the nickle slots, they didn't make any sense at all. From there headed out to a buddy's place and sat around and chilled. Listened to their band practice. All in all quite entertaining. Then headed home.

Saturday: Got a haircut, and an oil change. Went to the parent's place to check on things. Then back home to clean most of the evening, watch some tv and head to bed.

Sunday: Got up, shopped for groceries. Cleaned the house some more. Mar's parents came over for supper. Then her sister, brother-in-law and their baby came over. We played some darts, watched a bit of the oscars. Then they left, we cleaned again, watched a bit of tv and went to bed.

After work I went to Staples to make copies and buy stamps for a Conservative mailing. Then I went to Janet's for dinner. We watched a movie about The Big 8 (AM800) while stuffing envelopes. Then we watched a downloaded episode of Firefly before I remembered that I was supposed to be at the Ciocciaro Club for 7:30 this morning and headed home to get some sleep.

Went home. Read a bit, ate supper, played on the computer. Did a quick trip to shoppers, ended up running into one of my friends that just had a baby, he was going for formula. Then back home for a bit more tv, then bed.

After work I headed to my sisters place, where we met up with a couple of my cousins before heading out for dinner. We eventually headed to Chanosos for a bite to eat; it was delicious as usual. After dinner we all went back to my sisters place for a while. I eventually left to meet up with some people at Moxies for coffee. Later that night I returned home, watched the Colbert Report and CSI before heading to bed.

Wednesday

Wednesday was spent in London curling with the Broker's Assocation. In case you're curious we lost one game (3-1) and won the the other (11-1). My door prize was a swell cooler bag.

After I got home around 9:00 I watched Lost and then flicked channels for a while before heading to bed.

Went home. Ate supper. Watched some tv, read, played on the computer. Went to bed. Yes another amazingly exciting night.

Wednesday Night...

After work I swung by the mall and visited with my cousin for a while. Soon after Gino, Jay and I gathered at Moxies for pre-pool coffee's. From Moxies we headed to Brews & Cues for pool. I evenutally headed home watched to Colbert Report and LOST before eventually falling asleep.

Went home. Ate supper, read, watched some tv, cleaned some stuff off my computer. Played a bit of starcraft for the first time in years, got my ass kicked. Folded some towels and then headed off to bed.

After work Derek and I headed to Home Depot to pick up some networking supplies I need to complete the setup of my file server at home. Upon arriving we found that crimpers were ridiculously expensive. Derek contacted Alan who is now going to pick up some supplies from a third party vendour instead in an effort to safe some cash. From there it was off to Best Buy to pick up the router and a hard drive. On the way home I got called back for a night out at Cramdons. I killed some time at the mall while I waited for the call to head there. While there I played some pool and had a few drinks. Eventually I headed home to bed.
